Carta da Diretora Executiva do Centro de Playback Theatre

Dear Mario,

From all corners of the world I've received such warm and encouraging messages about my appointment as new Executive Director of the Centre for Playback Theatre - what a gracious welcome!

If we haven’t yet met, I look forward to interacting with you and supporting you in your playback practice through the Centre’s trainings, initiatives, and resources.

As Jonathan Fox steps away from the daily operations of the Centre, I deeply appreciate his immense contribution and look forward to working with him in his new Emeritus role.

I am passionate about guiding the Centre forward—by expanding the Centre’s excellent training program, exploring new avenues for outreach, developing multi-region projects, raising funds, and crossing international bridges.

The Centre’s 2010 summer session finished last week. Students from 14 countries returned home satisfied, empowered, and ready for the next step:

“I am very happy to have been here. The teacher was fabulous and each one of my fellows, too.”

“I am leaving with exactly what I wished from the experience.”

“Now I feel as if I can move a mountain!”
____________

In the spirit of playback, the Board of Directors and I invite your active involvement as the Centre steps into the future.

Yours, Sarah

Sarah Urech, Executive Director

A little story with a red thread: just before my arrival at the office, two doves made a nest on the window sill. During my orientation, they spent many hours sitting on it. They were soon feeding two hungry baby birds. Now the nest is empty: the young birds have taken flight!
